At Moonee Ponds Primary, we believe some of the most meaningful learning happens beyond the school gates. Our camps and excursions program is a valued part of school life, designed to broaden horizons, deepen curriculum connections, and give students experiences they’ll carry with them long after the day is done.
Excursions are a regular part of life at Moonee Ponds Primary, connecting curriculum to real-world experiences beyond the classroom. All trips are approved by the Principal and require parent/carer permission. We love having helpers involved — keep an eye on our newsletter and ensure your Working with Children Check is current.
We bring inspiring experiences directly to our students through a diverse program of incursions. Guest authors, artists, community speakers, and performers visit our school throughout the year, enriching the curriculum and sparking curiosity in ways that stay with students long after the day is done.
Our camping program is a highlight of school life at Moonee Ponds Primary, beginning with an on-site BBQ and Year 2 sleepover each September before venturing further afield from Years 3 to 6. Each camp builds confidence and independence while connecting to the curriculum.
